It is Spring, 1900. The place is New York City. A Jewish immigrant, Jake Gold, is struggling in a sweatshop by day, and fights in a gang at night. He wants a better life, but cannot escape his current situation.
At the same time, Thomas Edison has come to JP Morgan with a scheme to use a machine (stolen from Nikolai Tesla) to harness energy from the stars. However, the experiment opens a portal, unleashing energy throughout New York. Jake is one of the many New Yorkers now affected by this experiment. Now, he must decide how he must use his abilities to protect everyone’s American Dream.
And The Pale: A lone FBI agent teams up with a sheriff, his deputy and a Navajo cop while investigatng a mysterious body that is linked to a long string of killings. He must navigate through the small-town landscape while hiding the fact that he is not acting on behalf of the bureau... all while keeping his face-blindness a secret from the Sheriff. He will soon discover that he’s not the only one keeping secrets.

The only hope for a better life is the Genome Citizenship Accords of 1968 which state “any genome that proves their worth by serving the greater good for a period of no less than five consecutive years, may earn their citizenship, right to vote, and right to own property…” So, if you want to claw your way out of the blocks, and get a chance for a better life, you have to risk it all in either the military, fire department, or the police force. This is the story of three new recruits to the police force on their first shift in the G-unit.
